Our mission is to ensure that Kentuckiana has the knowledge, tools, and support necessary to navigate life after stroke with dignity, resilience, and hope while relentlessly working to make our community a leader in stroke awareness and prevention through education.

 
 

The Kentucky and Indiana Stroke Association is dedicated to reducing the impact of stroke through education, advocacy, and comprehensive support. We empower stroke survivors, caregivers, and the community by promoting awareness, facilitating access to vital resources, and encouraging a proactive approach to stroke prevention and recovery.

 
 
 

The Kentucky and Southern Indiana Stroke Association (dba Kentuckiana Stroke Association) is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of stroke through education and awareness.

 
 

Recognize, Educate, and Provide

stroke education can help people living with life after STROKE, their families, THEIR CARE PARTNERS and their caregivers. We aim to present resources and programs that can make a difference in THEIR life and THE lives OF THOSE IN KENTUCKIANA.

Recognize | To encourage those who:

provide exemplary STROKE REHABILITATION, MEDICAL CARE, NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT, COUNSELING, caregiving, AND Engagement develop prevention initiatives; and create innovative products, services, and solutions.

Educate | To relentlessly raise awareness:

Decrease the stigma in Kentuckiana of the spectrum of disabilities and loss of identity that suddenly impact stroke survivors AND their loved ones.

Knowledge is the first step towards understanding stroke and it’s impact on our community and those living and working in it. It’s important for people to get the information they need so they can cope with the challenges stroke can create. Provide | To make available materials and resources

Our association is relentlessly working to make available medical and non-medical, easy-to-understand stroke awareness materials and resources for individuals, small businesses, larger corporations, civic organizations, healthcare providers and communities-at-large.

To provide programs within continuing care communities and in public, that emphasize meaningful support, therapies, resources and education for those living with stroke, and their caregivers. These educational programs can be a lifeline for many people who are looking for ways to enrich the lives of men and women living with stroke.
